Brisbane Retro Ebook
A wonderful ebook based on my project, "Brisbane Retro - post-war houses of Brisbane". There are 36 pages of content and although it includes some history, details and discussion, it is mainly full of drool-worthy photos of retro and vintage houses and interiors.
The Brisbane Retro project was undertaken in 2015 and 2016 and I photographed, researched and recorded 23 Brisbane houses, built between 1940 and 1980. The examples I chose were ones that survived in near original condition, as I wanted to capture evidence of what these houses were like when first built. I tried to select a range of houses reflecting the huge variety of styles, locations, materials and costs of housing built during the era.
This e-book is based on the exhibition I held at the end of my project and showcases the fabulous houses I captured. It is organised thematically, including pages on Mid-Century Modern homes, Art Deco features, kitchen styles, etc. It includes many colour photographs showcasing the original elements of each house.
The ebook is downloadable as a PDF document. Please note it is a large file (21.8MB) so may take a while to download. I kept it large to preserve the high resolution of all the pretty images.
